Stories for Midnight (Part. 1)

I woke up to a soft knock at my door. At first, I thought it was my imagination. The clock read 12:03 AM. I told myself it was just the wind.

Then it came again—three slow, deliberate knocks. My apartment is on the 7th floor. Nobody should be able to knock here.

I held my breath and peeked through the peephole. Nothing. Just the dark hallway stretching endlessly. I laughed nervously and turned away.

A whisper floated under the door: “I see you.”

I haven’t slept since.

I was brushing my teeth when I noticed something strange in the mirror. My reflection smiled at me… but I wasn’t smiling.

Frozen, I stared as it raised a hand and waved. I didn’t move. My reflection leaned closer, whispering something I couldn’t hear.

Then, it mouthed a single word: “Run.”

When I turned around, the shadows in the room seemed to stretch toward me. But when I looked back in the mirror… it was still smiling.

Stories For Midnight (Part. 3)
I moved into an old apartment, and there was one door I was told never to open. Naturally, curiosity got the better of me.

The door led to a room that wasn’t on the floor plan—dark, cold, and empty… except for a small wooden chair in the center. On it sat a notebook, open to a blank page.

I picked it up. The moment my fingers touched it, words began appearing: “I’ve been waiting for you.”

The chair creaked behind me. Slowly, I realized I wasn’t alone.

Stories 4 Midnight (Part. 4)
I stepped into an empty elevator and pressed my floor. The doors closed… and the numbers started counting down instead.

I hit the buttons, tried to open the doors—nothing worked.

When it finally stopped, the doors opened to an empty hallway… with my own apartment door at the end.

Inside, the lights were on.
